ජ’පුර පවුල් පුහුණු මධ්‍යස්ථානයට පරිත්‍යාගයක්

ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ පවුල් පුහුණු මධ්‍යස්ථානයට පරිත්‍යාගයක් පිරිනැමීම 2018 ජනවාරි 15 ද සිදුවිය.ශ්‍රී ලංකා ඕස්ට්‍රේලියා සංගමය සහ ඕස්ට්‍රේලියානු පදනමක් එක්ව පිරිනැමූ අතර එය පිරිනැමීම ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ ආදි ශිෂ්‍ය සංගමයේ ජාතික සංවිධායක රංජිත් ඉද්දමල්ගොඩ මහතා අතින් සිදුවිය.

මේ අවස්ථාවේදී ප්‍රාථමික සත්කාර සහ අසාත්මිකතා පර්යේෂණ පිළිබඳ ජාතික මධ්‍යස්ථානයහි වෙබ් අඩවිය අන්තරජාලයට මුදාහැරිම ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ උපකුලපති මහාචාර්ය සම්පත් අමරතුංග මහතා අතින් සිදුවිය.

Family Practice Centre in USJP Equipped with Advanced Facilities

A donation for the Family Practice Centre in the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was given by Australia Sri Lanka Association and Medcric Foundation Canberra Australia on the 15th of January 15, 2018 at its premises. The donating body was represented by Mr. Ranjith Iddamalgoda, National Organiser, Alumni Association of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. National centre for Primary care and Allergy Research (NCPCAR) launched their website at this event. The Family Practice Centre of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is now equipped with some of the highest quality equipment available in Sri Lanka

Professor Sampath Amaratunge, the Vice Chancellor of the University, upon his visitation of the centre commended the developments afforded by the centre and the services rendered to the community by the centre.

The centre provides medical services for those of the community while maintaining a state-of-the-art Research Facility. The Vice Chancellor was given a tour around the centre by Dr. (Mrs.) T. S .P. Samaranayake, Head of the Department of Family Medicine, showcasing equipment donated by the Australia Sri Lanka Association and Medcric Foundation Canberra Australia.

It was further mentioned that while the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is one of the few Universities in Sri Lanka to provide such a service to the community, it is the only facility conducted by a university in Sri Lanka that is equipped with such advanced, superior technology and facilities.

Professor Amaratunge admired these facilities and discussed further funding opportunities at the event. He stated that a facility such as the “Family Practice Centre” with its advance technology and research facilities will be able to attract many funding opportunities for further research.

Dr. Chandima Jeewandara, Senior Lecturer, Department of Family Medicine, disclosed to the Vice chancellor that the Research Facility is shared in the university with other research centres and the research conducted with collaboration with many international bodies from countries such as the AustraliaSingapore and the United Kingdom. He further stated that during visitations from the said countries, the delegates were delighted to collaborate due to the advanced equipment and facilities available at the research centre.
