Call for Abstracts
for Oral/ Poster Presentations
50th Anniversary Academic Conference of The University of Sri Jayewardenepura
10 to 12 December 2009
The University of Sri Jayewardenepura will be holding an Academic Conference on the 10th -12th of December 2009 as a part of the series of events to mark its 50th Anniversary. The Conference comprises a half day of a symposium of invited papers based on the theme “Buddhism, Science and Development” followed by two days of academic sessions. The academic sessions will consist of a series of Presentations from invited speakers and Oral and Poster Presentations from Academics of the University. There will be a separate category of poster presentations for students as well.
Abstracts are called for selection of presentations at the conference based on original research not published earlier. At least one of the authors of abstracts should be an academic staff member of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The deadline for submission of abstracts will be 15th of August 2009. An abstract of 250-300 words typed in MS word of font size 12 should be submitted using the submission form available at http://www.sjp.ac.lk/gjc/conference.php or at http://www.ac.lk websites. Abstracts can be submitted by person or by post. Electronic versions/ faxes are not acceptable. The submissions are to be made to the Deans of the respective faculties.
All correspondence will be made with the Principal Author by e-mail.
Abstracts will be refereed and those selected (oral and poster) will be published in conference proceedings.
