Journal of Tropical Forestry and Environment (JTFE), the Journal published by Department of Forestry and Environmental Science has been indexed CAB Abstracts, DOAJ, and Google Scholar databases.

Journal of Tropical Forestry and Environment (JTFE) is a peer reviewed international journal that publishes high quality original research articles in forestry, environmental sciences and natural resource management relevant to tropical regions. This is a semiannual journal published by the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka.

 JTFE provides a multidisciplinary forum for discussion of issues and communication of research findings of wider interest to the community of forestry and environmental professionals, especially in the tropical regions. Although the journal has a specific geographical focus, it also welcomes high quality, original submissions of research and review manuscripts on issues of global importance. Acceptance for publication is subject to a double-blind peer-reviewing process.

CAB Abstracts

The Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International (CABI) is a not-for-profit inter-governmental development and information organisation based in the United Kingdom. It focuses primarily on agricultural and environmental issues in the developing world.

JTFE has been indexed in CAB specialist products Forest Science and Environmental Impact.

DOAJ – Directory of Open Access Journals 

The Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is a website that lists open access journals and is maintained by Infrastructure Services for Open Access (IS4OA). The project defines open access journals as scientific and scholarly journals that meet high quality standards by exercising peer review or editorial quality control and “use a funding model that does not charge readers or their institutions for access.

Google Scholar 

Google Scholar is a freely accessible web search engine that indexes the full text or metadata of scholarly literature across an array of publishing formats and disciplines. Released in beta in November 2004, the Google Scholar index includes most peer-reviewed online academic journals and books, conference papers, theses and dissertations, preprints, abstracts, technical reports, and other scholarly literature, including court opinions and patents.
