Orientation Programme 2015 for new students of the FAS

Orientation Programme for the new students of the Faculty of Applied Sciences was held on 12^th January 2015.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Sampath Amaratunge and the Dean, Prof. Sudantha Liyanage were address the students and members of the staff, students and their parents were participated the event.

Overall Objectives of the Orientation Programme

1. Make the students aware of the role and function of the University.
2. Make the students aware of their responsibilities as member of the University community.
3. Provide information on study programs, academic departments, faculty, resources and support systems available at the University.
4. Motivate the students to achieve their full potential.
5. Create the conditions for cordial fruitful staff – student and student – student relationships.
6. Provide necessary information; academic English, courses and examinations.
