Sisi Arundathee 2015 by Science Faculty students

Sisi Arundathee Organized by Students Union of the Faculty of Applied Sciences – University of Sri Jayawardenepura; was held on the 27th August at Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). This cultural extravaganza held each year to stage the aesthetic talents of the science faculty students.

Vice chancellor of University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Prof. Sampath Amaratunge; graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. And also the Dean of the Faculty of applied Sciences, Prof. Sudantha Liyanage graced the occasion along with lecturers and other invitees. The President’s coordinating Secretary Mr. Rajika Kodithuwakku and the Chairman of Independent Television Network (ITN) Mr. Dammika Ganganath, were present at the event as guests of honor.

The show comprised items of both oriental and western singing, and various genre of dance including Traditional Sri Lankan, South Indian, Bharatha, Kathak, Latin and Ballet. Around two hundred and fifty young scientists exhibited their talents on the stage in more than thirty various performances.

The funds raised by this event is projected to be donated, to build a fully equipped Computer Laboratory for Madapola Maha Vidyalaya, Kirimatiyawa- Kurunegala.
