Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between University of Sri Jayewardenepura(USJP) and Northern Kentucky University(NKU), USA on 10th June 2015
Exchange/joint projects and activity programs for students, faculty members , researchers, between NKU and USJP
The signing of the MOU was headed by (Left to Right): Ms. Sally Sternal, Counselor Chief, Embassy of US in Sri Lanka, Sue Ott Rowlands, Provost & Executive, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Northern Kentucky University, USA, Prof. Sampath Amaratunga, The Vice Chancellor, USJP & Prof. Ranil de Silva, Director, World Class University Project- (WCUP), USJP.
Through the involvement of Prof. Ranil de Silva, Director, WCUP, USJP was successful in initiating scientific and educational corporation through the signing of MoU between USJP and NKU on the 10th June 2015. This unique achievement will provide an opening towards to Exchange of students, faculty members and researchers with the objective of offering courses and realizing research projects and joint publications in areas mutually agreed upon by both universities and by exchanging of undergraduate and graduate students with the objective of enrolling students in courses appropriate to their year and area of study. Through this newly strengthened relationship between USJP and NKU (http://www.nku.edu/) will ultimately help elevating University’s current world ranking.
