About Dr.Upul Subasinghe
Dr.Upul Subasinghe is a senior lecturer attached to the Forestry and Environmental Science Department of the Unversity of Sri Jayawardenapura, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka. His research interest ranges over areas like "Tree Growth Modelling", "Forest Biomass Estimation", "Non-Wood Forest Products" and "Remote sensing and GIS", etc.
Dr.Subasinghe's teaching subjects for graduate level and post graduate level include "Forest Management", "Forest Mensuration and Inventory", "Surveying and Mapping", "Remote sensing and GIS", and "Research Methodologies". So far he has done many researches as the principle investigator. Besides that he has contributed to numerous other researches in his calibre as the research supervisor.
Activities conducted with the private sector
- Management plan preparation for the forest plantations managed by private sector
- Preparation of feasibility reports at international level in forestry sector
