A Pre-Symposium workshop is organized by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in parallel to the International Conference on Traditional Medicine, Educational Exhibition and Trade Fair 2017, TradMed International 2017, Sri Lanka. The workshop will be held on 22 November 2017 at the University premises and is themed as “Bridging Biotechnology and Traditional Medicine – A Multidisciplinary Approach”.
The Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, in collaboration with the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and World Health Organization has organized an International Conference on Traditional Medicine, Educational Exhibition and Trade Fair 2017, TradMed International 2017, Sri Lanka. The event will be held on the 23rd-25th of November 2017 at Water’s Edge, Colombo, Sri Lanka. More information can be viewed at http://www.tradmedinternational.com.
The Pre-Symposium workshop facilitates opportunities to explore the newest technologies available in molecular biology and molecular diagnostics, phytochemical analysis and microscopy which are applicable for the development of natural/ herbal based drugs. This workshop is completely free and would be of great use for both undergraduates, graduates and post graduates wishing to pursue their studies further in these fields.
The workshop is planned to have parallel interactive and brainstorming sessions under the following categories;
- Molecular biology
Apart from the technical sessions there will be;
- A session on double doctorate opportunities with EURON.
- A Brainstorming Session on Private-Public partnerships, participated by international and national entrepreneurs in the field of herbal/natural product.
