DESCRIPTION:The Department of Business Economics of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura has organized a forum under the theme\, “Striving for Export Competitiveness: Phase II” on the 30th January 2019 from 5.30 pm onwards at Prof. K. A. Munasinghe Hall\, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. \nThe forum will comprise of well-known panelists from all spheres. Dr. P. K. G. Harischandra from Central Bank of Sri Lanka\, Ms. Dayani Wegapitiya from Export Development Board\, Mrs. Chandi Jayamini from Ministry of Development Strategies and International Trade\, Mr. Ramal Jayasinghe from Institutional Business of Fair first Insurance Ltd. and Ms. Subhashini Abeysinghe from Verité Research (Pvt.) Ltd. will sit at the panel discussion which will be moderated by Prof. H. D. Karunarathne from University of Colombo. The forum will cover the competitive edges for Sri Lankan exporters and domestic producers\, the current trends and barriers in exporting\, the foreign currency impacts of cross border trade\, how to boost Sri Lankan trade and the role of Free Trade Agreements. \n \n
