DESCRIPTION:Ritzbury\, Sri Lanka’s number one chocolate brand manufactured by Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL)\, has been significant in uplifting sports in Sri Lanka and took a revolutionary step to sponsor Vidudaya Swimming Championship for the first time in 2018.  The Company partnered with the University of Sri Jayewardenepura which has the largest swimming pool in Sri Lanka\, to make the first Ritzbury All-island Interschool Age Group Swimming Championship a reality. \nTaking its legacy into greater heights the Physical Education Department of the University along with the Sports Council and the sole sponsor of the event\, ‘Ritzbury’ has joined hands for the second consecutive time in organizing Vidudaya Ritzbury Annual Inter-School Swimming Championship 2019 scheduled to be held on the 09th and 10th of March at the Mahinda Rajapakshe Swimming Pool Complex in the University of University of Sri Jayewardenepura from 08.00am onwards. \nThis Championship attracted well over 2500 swimmers from over 130 schools last year and the organizers believe that the numbers will grow this year with its popularity among school children. The projects will be evaluated by an eminent panel of judges. The selected projects will be published in an Abstract Book in par with 660th-anniversary celebrations of the university and all the participants will get a certificate. \nRules of the competition\n• The projects should be in one of the mentioned fields (Science/ Technology/ Social Sciences/Humanities/ Management or Commerce) and should not have been published or presented in any other public competition. \n• An individual or group can submit one project for the competition. DESCRIPTION:Sandeshawali Kawinaluwa (සන්දෙශාවලි කවිනළුව) is a musical allure created based on Gira (ගිරා)\, Parewi (පරෙවි)\, Kokila (කෝකිල)\, Salalihini (සැළලිහිණි)\, and Hansa (හංස) sandesa poetries written in the Kotte Period (1412–1597).  This musical evening is organized by the Cultural Committee of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and will be held on the 02nd of April 2019 from 5.00 pm onwards at the Main Hall of the BMICH. \nOrganized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences\, this epic literary event will witness the blending of traditional Sandesha Kawi with the performing arts. A unique feature of this literary event is the fact that over 200 performers of the University will share the stage in a literary culmination of verse and performance to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. Keeping in line with the founding traditions of the University the Sandeshawali Kawimaluwa will celebrate the rich literary and performance traditions of the nation with a gathering of eminent literary scholars and performers.

SUMMARY:Ceremonial launching of texts in line with the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations
DESCRIPTION:A series of texts of diverse nature will be ceremonially launched and presented to dignitaries in line with the celebrations. Notable texts include a compilation of Ven. Sri Sumangala Soratha Thero Literature\, paying due homage to our founding forefathers. A text on Education Philosophy follows together with a Research Volume. It is important to note that in preserving notable moments of the history of the University\, select Convocation Speeches delivered in the past convocations will be compiled and presented in a single text form. To enhance research and collaborative research a Student and Staff Members Academic Volume will also be launched. Notable books by Professor Paluhwadana will also be launched.
