Flyer of Inauguration & Industry Forum of J'PURA EXPO 2023\nJ’PURA EXPO 2023 is a visionary initiative of the Department of Business Economics at the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce\, University of Sri Jayewardenepura that comprises a series of events designed to support the growth of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Sri Lanka. \nThe Inauguration Ceremony and the Industry Forum of J’PURA EXPO 2023 themed “Navigating Growth: Elevating Export Competitiveness” will be held from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm on the 14th of December 2023 at the Sri Sumangala Auditorium\, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. \nThis forum will feature a distinguished panel\, including the participation of prominent figures\, Mrs. J.M. Thilaka Jayasundara (Secretary\, Ministry of Industries)\, Dr. Kingsley Bernard (Chairman and CEO\, Sri Lanka Export Development Board)\, Mr. Sudattha Silva (Additional Director General\, Sri Lanka Customs)\, Mr. Sarath Ganegoda (Executive Director\, Hayleys PLC)\, and Ms. Taniya S. Abeysundara (President\, Sri Lankan United Business Association and Ceylon United Businesses Alliance) to discuss strategies for enhancing Sri Lanka’s export competitiveness. Prof. Sumudu Perera (Department of Business Economics\, University of Sri Jayewardenepura) will serve as the moderator for the forum. \nAdditionally\, the book ‘Guide of Financing Export-oriented SMEs\,’ published by the Department of Business Economics\, will be officially launched during the Inauguration Ceremony. \nDuring the second phase\, an exhibition of products from export-oriented SMEs is scheduled for the 17th of December 2023 at the BMICH premises. DESCRIPTION:The annual diploma awarding ceremony of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura has been organized in a proud manner on March 3\, 2024\, with four sessions from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Pitipana Faculty of Technology Auditorium of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. \nUnder its first session\, diploma certificates will be awarded to students who have completed the courses Diploma in Buddhist Counseling\, Diploma in Buddhist Studies\, Diploma in Information Technology\, Diploma in Development Policy Analysis\, Diploma in Economics and Information Technology\, Diploma in Sociology\, and Diploma in Social Work. The guest speech will be delivered by Mr. Mahendra Jayasekara\, Managing Director of Ceylon Tiles and President of the Colombo Youth Buddhist Association. \nIn the second session\, diplomas will be presented to the students who have completed the English Diploma (External)\, English Diploma (Internal)\, and Japanese Language Diploma courses\, and the General Manager of FM Derana Radio Channel\, Mr. Bandara Wijeratne\, will deliver the guest speech. \nA diploma in Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing\, a diploma in Rural Development\, a diploma in History\, a diploma in Addiction Psychology and Rehabilitation\, a diploma in Writing and Communication\, and a diploma in Applied Tamil will be awarded in the third session. The guest speech will be given by veteran film director Mr. Parakrama Niriella. \nIn the final session\, the fourth session\, Diploma in Criminal Investigation and Modern Technology\, Diploma in Legal Education for Crime Prevention and Control\, Diploma in Criminal Psychology and Offender Counseling\, and Diploma in Criminology\, will be awarded diploma certificates\, and the National Executive Director of the Police Training College\, DIG Jaliya Senaratne\, is scheduled to deliver the guest speech.
