The theme of the conference will be “Fourth Industrial Revolution: Current Practices\, New Challenges\, and Opportunities.” The 3rd International Conference on Economics and Development 2019 – (ICED 2019) invites economists\, academics\, researchers\, practitioners\, scholars\, and industry experts to submit their abstracts for the conference. \nThe abstract submission form can be found at https://economicconference.co/abstract-guidelines/ . The maximum word limit for the abstract is 250 words. Please download the abstract template and follow the format carefully. The abstract should be in English\, should be informative including a summary of the paper’s background\, purpose\, methodology\, results\, and conclusion. Please include a brief biography of the author(s) with your submission. Your abstract will undergo a double-blind peer review by the international scientific committee within two to three weeks after its receipt. The results of the review should be sent to authors within two weeks of submission. Please submit your abstract before 25th March 2019. SUMMARY:Staging of “Sandeshawali Kawinaluwa” (සන්දෙශාවලි කවිනළුව)
DESCRIPTION:Sandeshawali Kawinaluwa (සන්දෙශාවලි කවිනළුව) is a musical allure created based on Gira (ගිරා)\, Parewi (පරෙවි)\, Kokila (කෝකිල)\, Salalihini (සැළලිහිණි)\, and Hansa (හංස) sandesa poetries written in the Kotte Period (1412–1597).  This musical evening is organized by the Cultural Committee of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and will be held on the 02nd of April 2019 from 5.00 pm onwards at the Main Hall of the BMICH. \nOrganized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences\, this epic literary event will witness the blending of traditional Sandesha Kawi with the performing arts. A unique feature of this literary event is the fact that over 200 performers of the University will share the stage in a literary culmination of verse and performance to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. Keeping in line with the founding traditions of the University the Sandeshawali Kawimaluwa will celebrate the rich literary and performance traditions of the nation with a gathering of eminent literary scholars and performers.

DESCRIPTION:A free health check-up camp will be organized by the Medical Faculty of the of Sri Jayewardenepura and will be held at the BMICH on the 3rd of April.  It is open to the public and the service is offered by the medical specialists from the university. Various investigations will be carried out as per the requirement of patients during this time. The celebrations of the Diamond Jubilee are by no means limited to only the stakeholders of the University. The Medical Camp organized by the Medical Faculty of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura stands as a community service project in its services to the general public.
