Swimming Is The Most Popular Sport When It Comes Aquatic Sports. Its A Combination Of Four Strokes ( Back Stroke,Breast Stroke,Butterfly And Free Style) We Have Dominated The Pool In The Last 6 Years In A Row. No Other University Was Able To Stop This Dominance Where All Other Universities Fight Each Other To Become 2nd.


When It Comes To Usjp Swimming Team Its The Most Successful Sports Team In The History Of All University Sports Teams As They Clinched Their 6th Concecutive Title Last Year In The Mens Category With A Huge Margin.

  • And In Last Two Years They Won 15 Out Of 16 Possible Golds For The University.
  • All Together 14 Inter University Records Are Among Our Swimmers

And They Have Individually Shined As Well.

  • Ashane Fernando The 1500m Freestyle Swimmer Who Represented Sri Lanka In The South Asian Games 2006 Is One Ofthem.
  • Punhasa Senanayake & Rehan Jayasekara Are Former National Poolists And Kaushalmanawau Is Currently In The National Pool.
  • Ashane Fernando & Rehan Jayasekara Reprented Sri Lanka In 2011 World University Games Held In China
  • And In 2013 All The 4 Male Swimming Participants – Ashane Fernando,Rehan Jayasekara,Punhasa Senanayake & Kaushal Manawadu Were From Our University.
  • And Each Of Them Won The Most Outstanding University Athlete In The Last Years Which Shows How Dominating They Were In The Arena.
