Visiting Lecture Team Programme (VLTP) in Neuroscience 2012

Participants (52): local (48) and foreign (4), from diverse disciplines including faculty members, engineers, medical doctors (western and ayurvedha), veterinarians, post graduate and graduate/undergraduate students attended this programme. The Faculty consisted of 5 foreign resource personnel. They have come from universities and institutes throughout Sri Lanka and India

The International Faculty

  • 1. Prof. U.J. McMahan - Professor Emeritus of Neurobiology and of Structural Biology, Stanford University/ Professor and Head Department of Biology, Texas A&M University, USA.

  • 2. Prof. John Nicholls – Prof. of Biophysics, Department of Neurobiology, International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), Italy. He has held positions in Harvard, Yale, Stanford Oxford and University College London.

  • 3. Prof. Mathew Mathew, Department of Biochemistry, Biophysics & Bioinformatics, National Center for Biological Sciences, Bangalore, India.

  • 4. Prof. Noreen Reist - Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Colorado State University, USA.

  • 5. Prof. Shlomo Rotshenker - Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Hebrew University, Faculty of Medicine, Israel.
