The European Graduate School of Neuroscience (EURON)


  • EURON has a strong international position due to its recognition by the European Union as Marie Curie Training Site

    • Two international exchange projects with Korea and Japan.

  • The School for Mental Health and Neuroscience (MHeNS) of Maastricht University, The Netherlands is the coordinator of EURON

    • International initiative to establish the European Graduate School of Neuroscience between universities

EURON Certificate Criteria

  • Completion of courses totaling at least 10  European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) from the EURON course programme (including PhD Days).

  • ientific exchange visit(s), related to the PhD research;

    • Preferably to other EURON research groups

    • Other international research groups

    • A total period of at least 3 months is mandatory

  • The thesis should consist of at least four papers;

    • Papers with a total Impact Factor of at least 10*

    • The PhD candidate is first or joint first author.

    • Adjusted weight factors for the various disciplines in neuroscience can be considered
