The workshop on Neuroscience of Meditation and Mindfulness was held at the Sumangala Reading Hall of the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences on the 2nd of January, 2015.

The lecture was conducted by Professor Dr. Ann. C. Kato and Rev. Bhikkuni. Khema Sasana Dipika. Prof. Ann Kato is from Department of Neuroscience, Faculty of Medicine, and University of Geneva, Switzerland. She was accompanied by Professor Dr. Gabor Kato, formerly of the Department of Pharmacology, McGill University, Montreal, Canada but presently the CEO of NEUROTECH SA, Geneva, Switzerland. Rev. Bhikkuni. Khema Dipika is a Meditation Teacher at Tranquil Wisdom Insight Meditation TWIM, Secretary for HH Most Ven ‘Bhante’ Vimalaramsi Maha Thera and the Co-Founder and Chairwoman of United International Buddha Dhamma Society,USA.

Rev. Bhikkuni. Khema Dipika unearthed and scooped into Buddha Investigation into Samatha Vipassana; while Prof. Ann Kato delved into the Neuroscience of Meditation and Mindfulness. The lecture was insightful and particularly significant because it revealed the interrelationship of science and became a vital help to overcome a perception that has become an accepted, stress-busting part of our daily health procedure.
