Vidudaya Diamond Jubilee Run 2019

The “Vidudaya Green Run 2019” is organized to promote the value of healthy living and environmental responsibility among the university communities including and the general public.

The University of Sri Jayewardenepura is the defending Sri Lanka University Games champions and holds the numerous sports facilities in best features available in Sri Lanka to promote healthy living among university communities. It is noteworthy to mention that the only undergraduate participated in an Olympic Games is a product of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Hence, the “Vidudaya Green Run 2019” will be a boosting agent for all the university communities.

Race categories

1. Elite Race: Elite Race is a 10 KM road run open for elite athletes in Sri Lanka. Event winner will be determined by their race finish time.
2. Jogathon: An individual charity 5 KM run/walk exclusively open of University of Sri Jayewardenepura community. Event winner will be determined by their race finish time.
3. Fancy Dress Run: Is a 3KM team event exclusively to promote Healthy Living and Green Environment Concepts open for University of Sri Jayewardenepura community. In a team, there should be a maximum of 4 members including at least one female member. The winning teams will be determined judging the creativity to support the above-mentioned concept as well as all the team members must finish the race.
