The 62nd Commemoration of the Most Venerable Welivitiye Sri Soratha Thero will be held on 17th July 2025 at the University premises.

The ceremony will commence at 8.45 a.m. with an Amisa Pooja at the University Buddha Shrine, followed by the Commemorative Oration delivered by Senior Professor Venerable Induragare Dammarathana of the Department of Sanskrit and Eastern Studies, University of Kelaniya, at 9.15 a.m. at Sumangala Hall
