Marking 61 years of the proud history of the Department of Anthropology, on this 26th March 2021 Anthropology Day will be held at the Board Room of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences from 8.45 am to 3.00 pm. with the participation of the chief guest Snr. Prof. Sudantha Liyanage and Prof. Shirantha Heenkenda; Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Anthropology Day consists of brief talks of most reputed anthropologists focusing on the history and the development of Anthropology as a discipline in Sri Lanka. The keynote speech will be delivered by Prof. Praneeth Abhayasundara of the Department of Anthropology.
