The Committee on Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Studies (IDTDS) of the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS) is pleased to host the book launch of “A Transdisciplinary Systems Approach for Addressing Complex Real-World Issues: Sri Lankan Perspectives.”

This special event will be held on 22 January 2026 at the Wimaladhamma Mansion, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, commencing at 4:00 p.m.

The programme will feature insightful addresses by distinguished academics and professionals, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches in addressing complex real-world challenges, followed by the formal launch of the book. The publication presents valuable Sri Lankan perspectives on systems thinking and collaborative problem-solving across disciplines.
