The Professor P. C. B. Fernando Memorial Oration 2026 will be held in honor of the Founder Professor of Physics at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, celebrating his lasting contributions to physics education and research. This year’s oration, titled “Discoveries That Transformed the World,” will be delivered by Prof. Kirthi Tennakone, a distinguished physicist and academic with extensive national and international experience.

The event will take place on 22nd January 2026, from 3.00 PM to 4.30 PM, at the Physics Lecture Theatre. The oration aims to inspire students, academics, and science enthusiasts by reflecting on groundbreaking scientific discoveries that have shaped modern society.
