Professor K. Sashi Kumar, Professor of Carnatic Music at the Department of Vocal, Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India will conduct a workshop on Indian Music for the music undergraduate students at the Department of Languages, Cultural Studies and Performing Arts. The Workshop will be held at Sri Sumangala Reading Hall on 14th December 2019 from 9:00 a.m. Professor K. Sashi Kumar is the former HOD at the Department of Vocal, Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University and a music performer who has been awarded a number of music and academic awards in India.

The Workshop is organized by the music section of the Department of Languages, Cultural Studies, and Performing Arts of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science.

At the end of the workshop, Professor will present a mini-concert on Carnatic Music.
