The award ceremony was held on 18 December 2025 at Waters Edge Hotel, under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The President’s Awards for Scientific Research are presented annually to recognize outstanding scientific contributions made by Sri Lankan researchers, as evidenced by high-quality, peer-reviewed scientific publications.
At the 2025 award ceremony, recognition was accorded to researchers whose scientific publications published in 2021 demonstrated exceptional excellence and significant scholarly impact.
