The Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, has been named the 1st Runner-Up at the Magnate 2024 – Inter-University Debate Competition. The event was organized by the Finance Students’ Association of the Department of Finance, Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo, and was held on September 13th, 2024.
Representing the Department of Accounting, the debate team comprised Naadiya Khulusie (Captain), Piyumanthi Liyanaarachchi, Prashanth Srikanthan, and Aaqila Faizal. Their strong performance throughout the competition earned them the runner-up position in a highly competitive field.
