The Department of Microbiology of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, has commenced offering microbiological testing services, including antibiotic sensitivity testing.
The available services include:
- Urine culture and ABST: Rs. 1500.00
- Fungal studies: Rs. 2500.00
- Cultures other than urine: Rs. 2500.00
- Acid-Fast Bacilli (AFB): Rs. 750.00
Testing is conducted from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with samples collected at the Department of Microbiology and Family Practice Centre. The lab is closed on weekends and public holidays. Reports can be accessed online or through WhatsApp.
