The PhD Colloquium Inauguration Ceremony of ICBM 2026 was successfully concluded on 18th February 2026 at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Organized in conjunction with the 22nd International Conference on Business Management (ICBM 2026) by the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, the PhD Colloquium stood as one of the conference’s premier academic events, dedicated to fostering excellence in doctoral research.
The inauguration session featured an inspiring keynote address by Subhash Abhayawansa, Professor of Accounting and Chair of the Sustainability and Innovation (SXI) Research Group at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. His insights set a strong intellectual tone for the Colloquium, encouraging emerging scholars to pursue impactful and rigorous research.
Following the inauguration, 11 PhD candidates presented their full papers, working papers, and concept papers, engaging in meaningful scholarly discussions and receiving constructive feedback from an esteemed panel of academics and international researchers.
As a dedicated platform for doctoral candidates commencing their dissertation journey, the PhD Colloquium provided a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment for refining research ideas, strengthening methodologies, and expanding global academic networks—further reinforcing ICBM 2026’s commitment to advancing research excellence in business management.
