The book launch of “A Transdisciplinary Systems Approach for Addressing Complex Real-World Issues: Sri Lankan Perspectives” was successfully held on 22 January 2026 at the Wimaladhamma Mansion, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Organized by the Committee on Interdisciplinary & Transdisciplinary Studies (IDTDS) of the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS) in collaboration with the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, the event brought together academics, professionals, and scholars for an engaging evening of dialogue and reflection. The programme featured insightful addresses that emphasized the significance of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches in addressing complex real-world challenges, culminating in the formal launch of the publication, which offers valuable Sri Lankan perspectives on systems thinking and collaborative problem-solving across disciplines.
