The library started lending laptops to Jayewardenepura University students. The beginning of this service was marked on 9 November by the lending of a laptop to a student by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Sampath Amaratunge. Dr. U. Anura Kumara, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce and the Librarian Dr. Nayana Wijayasundara were present at the occation at the Main Library
All the registered users of the library are eligible to this service and the laptops could be used only within the library premises.
An IT Help Desk is arranged to provide all the instructions on the operation of the laptops.
