The University of Sri Jayewardenepura proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of its undergraduate chemistry team, which secured First Place at the Inter-University Undergraduate Chemistry Quiz 2026, organized by the Section E2 (Chemical Sciences) of the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS).
The prestigious competition brought together talented undergraduate teams from universities across Sri Lanka, challenging participants on their knowledge of organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry, as well as their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrating exceptional academic excellence, teamwork, and determination, the University of Sri Jayewardenepura team emerged as the overall champions of the competition.
The University extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Tharindu Senapathi, whose dedicated mentorship, guidance, and continuous encouragement played a significant role in preparing the team for this prestigious competition.
