University of Sri Jayewardenepura proudly marked a historic moment on 7th October 2025 with the Awarding Ceremony of the first batch and the Inauguration of the third intake of the Professional Diploma in Russian Language. Held at the Sumangala Auditorium, the event celebrated the enduring academic partnership between USJ and the Ural State University of Economics (USUE), Russian Federation. Graced by H.E. Levan S. Dzhagaryan, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sri Lanka, Senior Prof. Pathmalal M. Manage, Vice Chancellor of USJ, Prof. Roman Krasnov, Vice Rector of USUE, and Senior Prof. Shirantha Heenkenda, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The ceremony stood as a testament to the growing bond of international education and friendship between Sri Lanka and Russia.
