Rev. Dr. Bellanwila Wimalarathana Thero was reappointed as Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayawardanepura by President Maithripala Sirisena for anothr 5 years.
The President handed over the letter of extension to Ven Wimalaratana Thero at the Bellanvila Rajamaha Viharaya yesterday (August 4).
The President offered pooja at the temple and obtained blessings from the Maha Sangha on this occasion.
Mr P B Abeykoon, Secretary to the President was also present on this occasion.
