USJ Canada Alumni donates Medical Equipment to Base Hospital Homagama for COVID-19 treatment

Medical Equipment sponsored by USJ Canada Alumni were donated to Base Hospital Homagama by Senior Professor Sudantha Liyanage; Vice Chancellor of University of Sri Jayewardenepura on 8th of September 2021. Mr. Maxwell Ranasinghe participated on behalf of Alumni Association of Canada Division. This is the first part of the medical Equipment that they are going to donate to the Homagama hospital for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. The support of medical supplies to Base Hospital Homagama is a part of USJ’s humanitarian efforts to support people in combating against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some of the lifesaving equipment donated were breathing tubes and chamber kits, trolleys, cupboards and IV and saline stands.

We greatly appreciate the noble gesture of USJ Canada Alumni and well-wishers for the timely donations that would help save precious lives in Sri Lanka during these most difficult times.
