International Conference on Food Research, Development and Applications - 2022

International Conference on Food Research, Development and Applications – 2022 will be held on 15th of February, 2022 from 8.30AM onwards. InCoFreDA 2022 is the first ever research symposium organized by the Department of Food Science & Technology in collaboration with Association of Food Science & Technology, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

The conference was patronaged under the above theme – “Strengthening innovations through sustainable food systems”, focusing on five core avenues of research for sustainability in food industry, videlicet

1.Food Quality, Safety and Hygiene.

2.Food Nutrition, Health and Immunity.

3.Food Engineering & Innovative Business Systems.

4.Foods of Plant, Animal and Microbial Origin.

5.Emerging Concepts and Technologies in Foods.

The conference proceedings constitute of 72 carefully reviewed abstracts under above thematic areas that is presumed to blaze the trails in global food related research

Prof Charles Brennan-Executive Dean of School of Sciences, RMIT university, South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia will be joining as the Guest of Honor for this event. Snr. Prof. K. K. D. S Ranaweera-Chair: Department of Food Science and Technology and Prof. S. B. Nawarathne- Department of Food Science and Technology of Faculty of Applied Sciences of USJP will be joining as conference chair and co-chair. Snr. Prof. Ajith De Alwis-Dean, Faculty of graduates Studies of University of Moratuwa will be joining as the Keynote Speaker.
