On 31st May 2019, the Department of Marketing Management of University of Sri Jayewardenepura successfully conducted the annual job fair under “The Inception 2019”, which provided a platform for the fourth year Marketing undergraduates to join the workforce, strengthening the bond between the corporate sector and academia. The event was open from 9 am to 4 pm and during the day the participants had the opportunity to choose among various corporate giants as per their best interests. Two career guidance workshops were also conducted on 29th and 30th prior to the event.

The job fair concretely focused on opening the career path of job seeking Marketing undergraduates of the faculty of management studies and commerce by providing them with the outstanding opportunity to connect with corporate pillars whereby the knowledge and skills of the undergraduates were improved.

The ‘ Dialog career day’ which was the 2nd phase of Inception -2019 in collaboration with Dialog Axiata was held at the premises of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura on 25th of May was another boost for the Inception 2019.
The first session was conducted by Mr. Dilshan Perera, the head of Etailing with the help of Ms.Chanuka Gunawardhana, the Assistant Manager in Talent and Acquisition. The undergraduates were benefited and obtained a vast knowledge on the ‘ Marketing Opportunities ‘ at Dialog PLC.

The second session of the day was an Interview session, and it was conducted by the interviewers Mr. Reshan Warnakulasuriya, Mr.Yashan Gamage, and Ms.Imasha Gunarathna from Dialog PLC.
The dialog career day was another successful event of the agenda of Inception 2019.
