The Grand Finale of the All Island Accounting Quiz Competition – Esperenza 2016, organized by the student body of the Department of Accounting, Accounting and Financial Management Association (AFMA), was successfully held on 1st November 2016 at the Bishop’s College Auditorium. The event was well attended including the Chief guest, Prof. Sampath Amarathunga – Vice Chancellor of University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Dr U. Anura Kumara, Dean-Faculty of Management Studies & Commerce, other distinguished guests, students and teachers of the competing schools and students of the Department of Accounting. Out of seven hundred schools, four schools were selected for the final round including Nalanda Collage – Colombo, Bandaranaike Balika Vidyalaya – Ampara, Sri Sangamiththa Balika Maha Vidyalaya – Mathale and Dharmawikrama Balika Vidyalaya – Kandy. At the end of the competition, Nalanda Collage won the Grand Prize. Bandaranaike Balika Vidyalaya – Ampara and Sri Sangamiththa Balika Maha Vidyalaya – Mathale won the second and third places respectively.
