The students of the Department of Finance made a visit to New Blue Mountain Tea Factory at Balangoda on the 25th of September 2015. The management of the company provided the students with the opportunity to understand the operations of a tea factory by taking them to the production floor. In addition they explained the current situation of the tea industry and why they are confined to some special type of blends. At the end the MD of New Blue Mountain, who himself is a product of the university of Sri Jayewardenepura, explained the students the importance of the university education and how it can be used for success of life.
