Newly appointed Senior Professors and Professors of USJ

Recent appointments to the post of Senior Professor and Professor in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Management Science and Commerce, Faculty of Medical Sciences and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences are as follows;

1. Prof. (Mrs.) S. Fernando was appointed as Senior Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medical Sciences with effect from 22^ndJune 2009.
2. Prof. (Mrs.) H. D. Y. D. Jayathilake, Head, Department of Anthropology in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was appointed as Senior Professor with effect from 17^thNovember 2017.
3. Senior Lecturer T. S. P. Samaranayake, Head, Department of Family Medicine in the Faculty of Medical Sciences was appointed as Professor with effect from 08^thMarch 2019.
4. Senior Lecturer D. I. Uluwaduge, Head, Department of Basic Sciences in the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences was appointed as Professor with effect from 12^thMarch 2019.
5. Senior Lecturer T. S. M. Amarasena, Head, Department of Decision Sciences in the Faculty of Management Science and Commerce was appointed as Professor with effect from 18^thNovember 2019.
6. Dr. N. G. S. Shantha Gamage was appointed as Professor on Merit in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Applied Sciences with effect from 1^stJuly 2019.
7. Dr. N. M. S. Sirimuthu was appointed as Professor on Merit in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Applied Sciences with effect from 15^thOctober 2019.
8. Dr. (Mrs.) M. G. C. Padumadasa was appointed as Professor on Merit in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Applied Sciences with effect from 13^thNovember 2019.
9. Dr. (Mrs.) N. T. Perera was appointed as Professor on Merit in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Applied Sciences with effect from 18^thNovember 2019.
10. Dr. (Mrs.) C. D. Jayaweera was appointed as Professor on Merit in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Applied Sciences with effect from 29^thNovember 2019.
11. Ven. Pinnawala Sangasumana Thero was appointed as Professor on Merit in the Department of Geography, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences with effect from 15^thDecember 2019.
