Professor N. G. S. Shantha Gamage officially assumed duties as the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura at a ceremonial event held at the University.
The assumption-of-duties ceremony was conducted amidst religious observances to invoke blessings for his new leadership role. The occasion was attended by the Vice-Chancellor of University Senior Professor Upul Subasinghe, members of the University Council, Deans of other faculties, the Registrar, Heads of Departments, members of the academic and administrative staff, distinguished guests, and family members of Professor Gamage. Emeritus Prof. Dhammika Tantrigoda also participated and addressed the gathering.
