Parallel to the Sports and Physical Health promotion programme organized with the concurrence of His Excellency the President honorable Maithripala Sirisena, a special workshop and lecture series was held 9th February 2017 at University of Sri Jayewardenepura. This event has been organized by University Sport Unit. Accordingly, it was expected to create an energetic, enthusiastic and healthy nation within the adolescent, young, adult and senior social levels of the society by implementing this programme.
Prof. Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the University, Registrar Mr. K. Gnanasiri Britto graced the event. Dr. Shantha Hettiarachchi delivered a special lecture in this event.
