USJ team wins Third place at IOBSL Inter-University Biology Challenge 2020

The team from the Faculty of Applied Sciences of USJ secured the Third place at IOBSL Inter-University Biology Challenge 2020. The team members are N. L. W. Nishshanke, S. M. D. H. S. Siriwardane, L. W. Dahanayake and B. A. S. U. Bamunuarachchi. The awards were presented at the 40th Annual Sessions of the IOBSL. It was successfully held on the 25th of September 2020 at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

The Institute of Biology Sri Lanka (IOBSL) is a leading professional body of Biologists in Sri Lanka, is mandated to promote education in biology at all levels. The IOBSL Inter-University Biology Challenge encourages undergraduates
to find solutions for real life problems through their interest in biology. The theme of the inaugural Challenge was, ‘Sustainable solutions to face the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.’
