The University of Sri Jayewardenepura will entertain applications for the under-mentioned post from the suitably qualified candidates on Contract basis for One year.
FACULTY OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCE
- DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
POST OF LECTURER (ON CONTRACT)
- Candidate must be qualified with a Bachelor of Science (Special/Honors) Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology with a Class.
- Preference will be given to those who have a Postgraduate Qualification in Computer Science/ Information Technology with more than 2 years of teaching experience preferably in Cybersecurity, research experience and academic publications in Indexed, Peer-reviewed or Refereed Journals. At least 2 years of experience in handling students’ activities, mentoring at university level.
FACULTY OF APLIED SCIENCES
- DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS
POST OF SENIOR LECTURER (GRADE II) – ON CONTRACT
- Candidates must be qualified with a BSc. (Honors/ Special) Degree in Physics or related fields with a First or Second Class (Upper Division) and PhD / Postgraduate qualifications in the field of experimental Physics / Instrumentation/ Geo Physics/ Computational Physics/ Robotics and Embedded Systems.
FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES AND COMMERCE
- DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ECONOMICS
POST OF SENIOR LECTURER GRADE II (ON CONTRACT)
- Candidates must be qualified with a (Honors/ Special) Degree in Business Economics with a First or Second Class (Upper Division) and PhD / Postgraduate qualifications in Business Economics.
POST OF LECTURER (ON CONTRACT)
- Candidates must be qualified with a BSc. (Honors/ Special) Degree in Business Economics with a First or Second Class (Upper Division).
- Preference will be given to those who have a PhD /Postgraduate qualification in Business Economics.
- DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
POST OF LECTURER (ON CONTRACT)
- Candidates must be qualified with a BSc (Honors/ Special) Degree in Business Administration with a First or Second Upper Class.
- Preference will be given to those who have a PhD/ Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration.
- DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
POST OF LECTURER (ON CONTRACT)
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours/Special) Degree or a degree in Management, with First-Class or Second-Class Upper Division.
- Preference will be given to those who have a PhD / Postgraduate qualification in Commerce.
- Practical experience or teaching competence in information technology applications relevant to Commerce is desirable.
Contract Period: One Year
Selection Criteria: Selection will be made by a structured interview.

Approximate Gross Salary Rs. 287,144.80
POST OF LECTURER (ON CONTRACT)
Approximate Gross Salary Rs. 180,152/-
Benefits:
Selected candidates will contribute 10% from their monthly salary to the Universities Provident Fund while the University will make a contribution 15% to the Universities Provident Fund. In addition, they will become contributors to the Employees’ Trust Fund which the University will contribute an amount equivalent to 3% of the salary.
