Subject Area -Statistics/Mathematics
Candidates must be qualified with BSc. (Special/ Honours) Degree in Statistics or Mathematics.
Preference will be given to those who have Post graduate qualifications in Statistics or Mathematics and experience in University level teaching in above subject areas.
Subject Area -Physics
Candidates must be qualified with BSc. (Special/ Honours) Degree in Physics.
Preference will be given to those who have a Doctoral Degree in Physics or related discipline with proven track record in University level teaching and teaching experience in University level above subjects or Mathematics will be an added advantage.
DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL AND ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY
POST OF LECTURER (ON CONTRACT)
Subject Areas – Construction and Building Services Technology/Highway Design and Construction/ Geotechnical Engineering/Construction Estimation and Procurement/ Building Services/Building Information Modeling and Building Maintenance Management.
Candidates must be qualified with Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering (Honours) Degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BET) (Honours) Degree specialized in Construction and Building Services Technology/ Construction Technology.

DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
POST OF LECTURER (ON CONTRACT)
Candidates must be qualified with BSc. (Special/Honors) Degree in Business Administration.
Prefernce will be given to those who have with proven ability to teach one or more of the following subject areas.
Contemporary Issues in Management, Leadership and Cross-Cultural Management, Business Psychology, Business in Society and Knowledge Management.

BUSINESS COMMUNICATION UNIT
INSTRUCTOR IN ENGLISH (ON CONTRACT)
(1). (i) A Special Degree in English.
OR
(ii) A General Degree with English Language as a subject.
OR
(iii) A Special/General Degree with a Diploma in English of not less than 18 months duration obtained from a University or UGC recognized other Higher Educational Institution.
OR
(iv) The Postgraduate Diploma/Masters in Teaching of English as Second Language from the University of Colombo/Open University of Sri Lanka or an equivalent qualification of not less than one year duration obtained from a University or UGC recognized other Higher Educational Institution.
OR
(v) The Trained Teachers’ Certificate in English with at least 03 years experience after training.
OR
(vi) The specialist English Trained Teachers’ Certificate with at least 03 years experience after training.
OR
(vii) National Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language offered by the College of Education with at least 03 years post qualifying experience in teaching English.
OR
(viii) Higher National Diploma in English of not less than 2 years duration offered by the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE) with at least 03 years post qualifying experience in teaching English.
AND
(2). A good command of English and Sinhala/Tamil.
Preference will be given to those who have a Doctoral Degree or Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and experience in teaching communication skills at the undergraduate level, particularly in the discipline of Management and Business Studies.
Preferred areas of specialization are Academic Writing/Business English/Marketing and Entrepreneurial communications skills.
Note – The applicants who applied for the Post of Instructor (On Contract) will have to face a written aptitude test in the event of receiving a high number of applications.
