SITE COORDINATOR – CONSTRUCTION OF ANATOMY BUILDING
UNIVERSITY OF SRI JAYEWARDENEPURA (USJ)

The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) equivalent to US$ 67 million and a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) equivalent to US$ 33 million (total US$ 100 million) toward the cost of Accelerating Higher Education Expansion and Development (AHEAD) Operation functioning under the Ministry of Education.

Under the AHEAD Operation, an anatomy building is constructed at the cost of LKR 151.2 Mn. in the medical faculty of USJ.

The AHEAD Operation intends to apply a portion of the proceed of this loan and credit to eligible payments under the contract for which RFQs are called. The contract period of the Site Coordinator is 12 months. 1. Purpose and Objective of the Assignment

Overall coordination of the day-to-day site activities of the construction of the Anatomy Building of the medical faculty.

 

2. Qualification and experience of the Site Coordinator

i) National Diploma in Technology or equivalent qualifications and have at least four (04) years of experience in the relevant field after obtaining such qualifications.
Note: Period of in-plant training will not be counted for the four years of experience.

ii) National Certificate in Technology or equivalent qualifications and have at least ten (10) years of experience in the relevant field after obtaining such qualifications.

 

3. Selection Criteria

    • Educational qualification above the minimum requirement
    • Technical experience above the minimum requirement
    • Exposure to foreign-funded projects of the government
    • IT literacy
    • Performance at the interview

 

4. Conflict of Interest

 Prospective applicants shall refer and adhere to Section 1.6 of the Guidelines on Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consultant Services issued in 2011 and revised in July 2014.

 

 5. Invitation to submit Quotations

The Chairman, Project Procurement Committee (Minor) Operations Technical Secretariat (OTS) of the University of USJ invites qualified eligible applicants to submit quotations for providing the service.

6. Method of Selection

The site Coordinator will be selected in accordance with the procedure set out in the Guidelines on Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consultant Services referred to in section 04 above.

Method: Shopping – RFQ – Single Stage One envelope.

 

7. Submission Details of Quotations

Prospective applicants shall submit sealed quotations which include educational & professional qualifications and experience in a detailed CV and the expected remuneration to the Chairman, Project Procurement Committee (Minor), Operations Technical Secretariat, AHEAD Operation, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Gangodawila, Nugegoda.

Closing date of submission of sealed quotations: 31.03.2022.
