ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ මානවශාස්ත්‍ර හා සමාජීය විද්‍යා පීඨයේ දර්ශන හා මනෝ විද්‍යා අධ්‍යනාංශයේ ආචාර්ය ආශා ප්‍රනාන්දු මහත්මිය සහ තෝරාගත් අවසන් වසර පර්යේෂණ සිසුන් කිහිප දෙනෙක් සානුකම්පික තාරුණ්‍යය යන මැයෙන් පැවැත්වූ ඉන්දියානු ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්මන්ත්‍රණයේදී ඔවුන්ගේ පර්යේෂණ ඉදිරිපත් කර සම්මාන කිහිපයක් දිනා ගන්නා ලදී. මෙම ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්මන්ත්‍රණය 2019 ජනවාරි මස 24 හා 25 දිනවල ඉන්දියාවේ පුදුචෙරිහි පැවැත්විණ.

Best Team Award for Department of Philosophy and Psychology at International Conference in India

Dr. Asha Fernando and her selected final year research students attached to the Department of Philosophy and Psychology, of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, presented their research findings in An International Conference of Compassionate Youth: KARUNA A COMPASSIONATE WORLD held in Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital, Puducherry, India on 24th and 25th January 2019. This event was organized by Institute of Palliative care Medicine in Puducherry, India.

At the conference, Dr. Asha Fernando and her team received the Best Team Award for their research presentations.  In addition, the Best Research Paper Award is won by K.V.P.M. Karunaratne for her research paper titled “Compassion, as a Method of Forming a Successful Counseling Process”.
