The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of University of Sri Jayewardenepura is set to launch the Bachelor of Arts in Applied Police Studies degree on February 25, as approved by the Sri Jayewardenepura University Senate Board and the University Grants Commission. The inaugural batch, organized in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Police, marks the commencement of the Bachelor of Arts degree program. The initiative aims to fulfill the educational prerequisites necessary for professional qualifications within the police service. The program, developed by the External Degree and Extension Course Unit of USJ, is aligned with the university’s and regulatory bodies’ strategic objectives. The Bachelor of Arts in Applied Police Studies is poised to contribute significantly to the academic landscape, addressing the specific educational needs of aspiring police professionals.
