USJ Team won Eco-Tech Category at the 5th Commonwealth Digital Health Awards – 2022

Sanifly – A Project carried out by Pramuk Hewawasam, Amandi Thennakoon Nipuni Fernando, and Dinuka Dilshan Wijesundara from the Department of IT, University of Sri Jayewardenepura has won the Eco-Tech Category at the 5th Commonwealth Digital Health Awards – 2022 conducted by Commonwealth Centre for Digital Health.

Prof. K.S. Lasith Gunawardena from the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura guided the team as the project supervisor in their journey. This is the second international competition the team has participated in and received recognition in. The same team has won a number of achievements already within Sri Lanka.

The winning team and the team supervisor Prof Gunawardena convey their special thanks to everyone at the University Including the Vice-Chancellor, Dean/FMSC the Innovation, Invention and Venture Creation Council (which funded the project via USJ Innovation grants), and staff members from the Department of IT of USJ who have supported them, and especially Prof. Chinthaka Premachandra, Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan for the kind assistance throughout the project.
