Mr. Prathap Kaluthanthri, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Estate Management and Valuation, University of Sri Jayewardenepura has become a member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), United Kingdom. Founded in 1868 and received its Royal Charter in 1881, the RICS is the global professional body promoting and enforcing the highest international standards in the valuation, management and development of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure.

The membership of RICS acknowledges Mr. Kaluthanthri’s over 10 years experience in teaching, research and consultancy experience on Real Estate Valuation, Corporate Real Estate Management and Real Estate Marketing. He is the first person in Sri Lanka who completed RICS Assessment of Professional Competency (APC) in Valuation pathway under the Academic Assessment Route. Currently he is a PhD candidate on Real Estate and Construction, University Sains Malaysia.
