Venerable Prof. M. Wijithadhamma, Head of the Department of Pali and Buddhist Studies, in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was awarded the prestigious “Buddhist Literary Award-2018’ for his latest work, “Dasa-bodhisattuppatti-kathā Aṭṭhakathā” (දසබෝධිසත්තුප්පත්තිකථා අට්ඨකතා) (Commentary on the Birth Stories of Ten (Future) Bodhisatvas). The award for the Best Academic Research was presented by Most Venerable Mahanayaka Thera of Asgiriya Chapter of Siam Mahanikaya at the “Buddhist Literary Awards Ceremony – 2018” held on 14th September 2018 at BMICH, Colombo.
