University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Northumbria University, England signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 14th of January, 2019. The two universities aim to encourage and develop collaborative activities in various ways, including the exchange of scholarly ideas/expertise, the support of specific discipline interaction, the development of programmes and the advanced entry to Northumbria programmes of appropriately qualified students from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Senior Professor Sampath Amaratunge, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Dr. Chaminda Konthesingha, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering signed the MoU for and on behalf of USJP. Dr. Akila Subasinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering was present to grace this occasion.
