A felicitation ceremony organized by the Senior Common Room and Welfare Society (Santhagaraya) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was held on 13th October 2022 at Ariyana Reach Hotel, Maharagama under the patronage of the Vice-Chancellor, Senior Professor Sudantha Liyanage, Registrar of the University, Mr. Welivita and members of the welfare society to honour the retired members of the Senior Common Room and Welfare Society of the University. Accordingly, the long lasting and outstanding services rendered by Prof. P.B. Mandawala, Prof. E. Dayarathna, Dr. Wijerathna and Dr. C.L. Ranatunga were recognized.
The felicitation ceremony was held in parallel to the Annual General Meeting of the Senior Common Room and Welfare Society where new office bearers for the upcoming year were also elected. The event was followed by a small gathering of the members of the Senior Common Room and Welfare Society.
